Sodium Hyaluronate is a viscous polymer used for its moisturising and lubricating effects. Sodium Hyaluronate provides a protective, viscoelastic film across the ocular mucosa; which acts as an active barrier against external agents, and which helps to counteract symptoms of dry eye.
VIZhyal 0.1% is a sterile, ophthalmic solution that soothes and moisturizes the ocular surface to alleviate symptoms associated with moderate dry eyes, such as burning, irritation and foreign body sensation. VIZhyal 0.1% acts as a humectant on the eye, providing relief of dry eye conditions, including those associated with the use of PC, infrequent blinking, medical treatments, atmospheric pollution, air conditioning, central heating, wind and sun.
Composition: Sodium hyaluronate 0.1% sodium phosphate monobasic monohydrate, sodium phosphate dibasic dodecahydrate, sodium chloride, water for injection.
VIZhyal 0.17% relieves symptoms of moderate dry eyes such as burning, irritation and foreign body sensation. It also acts as a lubricant, providing relief of dry eye conditions; including those associated with the use of PCs, infrequent blinking, medical treatments, atmospheric pollution, dry atmospheres (e.g. air conditioning), and ophthalmic stress due to the use of contact lenses. VIZhyal 0.17% is also indicated for frequent and prolonged use, and indicated for use after ocular surgery.

VIZhyal 0.4% is a sterile solution for ophthalmic use with a physiological pH, based upon a technology of cross-linking Hyaluronic Acid (HA) with Urea. HA is a naturally occurring molecule within the human body, which binds to water molecules to provide hydration and increase viscosity. This hydrating web structure greatly enhances the mechanical properties of the HA, and of the cross-linking agent, providing more prolonged lubrication and contact time on the ocular surface than with standard sodium hyaluronate. Cross-linked HA has a re-epithelizing effect for greater protection of the corneal surface, and helps to reinstate and improve tear film stability in dry eye patients. The cross-linked HA and the phosphate-free formulation, allows VIZhyal 0.4% to be utilised in the treatment of severe dry eyes, and post-ocular surgery.
